I am an Associate Professor of English at The University of Texas at Arlington. I study American literature, focusing specifically on Mexican American, and Chicana/o/x literature from the 19th century to the present. My research critically examines the intersections of Latino literary history and early Mexican American historiography. I teach courses in American Literature, World Literature, Mexican American Studies, and Latina/o/x Literature.
